\"texto<\/a>Os contratos de engineering foram desenvolvidos como resposta \u00e0 complexidade das grandes obras de engenharia. Resultam de um ato criativo e t\u00e9cnico cada vez mais complexo e especializado. Est\u00e3o, mormente, associados, a grandes investimentos tecnol\u00f3gicos e cient\u00edficos que exigem a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o de diversas \u00e1reas do conhecimento. S\u00e3o contratos de longa dura\u00e7\u00e3o, enquadrados na categoria dos contratos para produ\u00e7\u00e3o de bens e servi\u00e7os, atrav\u00e9s dos quais profissionais qualificados, geralmente integrados numa empresa de engenharia, concebem e concluem projetos para determinados clientes, que se comprometem a disponibilizar certas informa\u00e7\u00f5es e a pagar certa quantia monet\u00e1ria, por forma direta, o pagamento do pre\u00e7o, ou indireta, por meio de royalties. A natureza jur\u00eddica, a complexidade contratual e as vicissitudes decorrentes de todo o processo negocial, execu\u00e7\u00e3o e p\u00f3s execu\u00e7\u00e3o, destacam o qu\u00e3o indispens\u00e1vel \u00e9 a autorregula\u00e7\u00e3o como mecanismo estabilizador das perspetivas-expectativas das partes e de terceiros interessados na rela\u00e7\u00e3o jur\u00eddica constitu\u00edda.

\"Texto<\/a>The engineering contracts have been developed in response to the intricacy of major engineering works. They result of a creative and technical act increasingly complex and specialized. They are associated, mainly, the major technological and scientific investments that require the cooperation of several fields of knowledge. They are long-term contracts, framed within the category of contracts for the production of goods and services, through which skilled professionals, usually integrated in an engineering firm, conceive and complete projects for certain clients, which undertakes to make available certain information and to pay a certain\u00a0monetary amount, either directly, payment of the price, or indirectly, through royalties. The legal nature, the contractual complexity and events borned of negotiation process, execution and post execution, highlight how essential is self-regulatory mechanism for stabilizing of the parties prospects-expectations and third parties interested in the legal relationship constituted.\u00a0<\/span>
