\"textoNo mundo empresarial contempor\u00e2neo as empresas manipulam e armazenam uma grande quantidade de informa\u00e7\u00e3o, a qual \u00e9 crucial para a sua sobreviv\u00eancia. Tendo em conta o enorme impacto do avan\u00e7o constante das tecnologias de informa\u00e7\u00e3o, associado \u00e0 obrigatoriedade da partilha de informa\u00e7\u00e3o com todos os envolvidos no neg\u00f3cio (fornecedores, clientes, \u2026), as empresas n\u00e3o podem continuar a apresentar-se no mercado como \u201cilhas isoladas\u201d. Reconhecendo que informa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 poder, torna-se um prop\u00f3sito essencial garantir a sua seguran\u00e7a. Existem v\u00e1rias normas (ISO \/ IEC 27002\/Mehari) que definem as medidas a aplicar pelas empresas com o objetivo de implementar um sistema de seguran\u00e7a de informa\u00e7\u00e3o. Contudo, muitas organiza\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o aplicam qualquer medida ou, se o fazem, limitam-se a adotar medidas inconsistentes, pouco frequentes e n\u00e3o estruturadas. Neste artigo, procuramos entender como as pequenas e m\u00e9dias empresas portuguesas lidam com este problema.<\/p>\n

\"TextoCompanies store a large amount of information over the years that are crucial to survive in the contemporary business world. Taking into account the great development of communications, and the mandatory need of sharing information with their partners, organizations can\u00b4t work as \u201cisolated islands\u201d anymore. Assuming that information is power, it is therefore essential to ensure its safety. There are several frameworks (ISO\/IEC 27002\/Mehari) that define all the measures that organizations must apply in order to implement a security information system. Still, many organizations don\u00b4t apply any measure or if they do, they merely adopt inconsistent, infrequent and unstructured measures. In this paper we try to understand how Portuguese small and medium-sized companies deal with this problem.<\/p>\n
