Tendo em conta, por um lado, a influ\u00eancia da carga fiscal, da carga de regula\u00e7\u00e3o e da evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do mercado de trabalho e, por outro lado, o seu impacto em indicadores monet\u00e1rios, do mercado de trabalho e da produ\u00e7\u00e3o, estima-se que o peso da ENR no PIB oficial, em Portugal, tenha evoluido desde os 19%, em 1977, at\u00e9 aos 23%, em 2008. Em particular, ap\u00f3s a descida verificada no per\u00edodo 1977-1982, a ENR mostrou uma tend\u00eancia de subida no per\u00edodo subsequente, tendo estabilizado em torno dos 21%, desde 1994. No entanto, a partir de finais de 2007, verifica-se novamente um padr\u00e3o de subida. Foi tamb\u00e9m encontrada a evid\u00eancia de que em Portugal o crescimento da ENR tende a infl uenciar positivamente o crescimento da economia oficial.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11\" alt=\"Texto em ingl\u00eas\" src=\"http:\/\/obegef.pt\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/en.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" \/>This paper aims to contribute to a better understanding of the volume of the Non-Observed Economy (ENR) in Portugal, by estimating, based on MIMIC models (multiple indicators multiple causes), its path in the period 1977-2008. Given, on the one hand, the influence of the tax burden, the burden of regulation and the evolution of the labour market and, on the other hand, its impact on monetary, labour-market and production indicators, it is estimated that the weight of ENR in the official GDP in Portugal has evolved since the 19%, in 1977, up to 23%, in 2008. In particular, it is observed that after the fall in the period 1977-1982, the ENR showed an upward trend in the subsequent period, which has stabilized around 21%, since 1994. However, from the end of 2007, there is again an increasing pattern.
