{"id":3449,"date":"2010-06-01T14:32:32","date_gmt":"2010-06-01T14:32:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/obegef.pt\/wordpress\/?p=3449"},"modified":"2013-09-15T16:24:54","modified_gmt":"2013-09-15T16:24:54","slug":"padroes-do-plagio-estudantil-em-portugal-quao-relevantes-sao-as-areas-de-estudo-e-formacao","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/obegef.pt\/wordpress\/?p=3449","title":{"rendered":"Padr\u00f5es do pl\u00e1gio estudantil em Portugal: qu\u00e3o relevantes s\u00e3o as \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o?"},"content":{"rendered":"<table width=\"100%\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"5\" cellpadding=\"5\" align=\"center\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\" align=\"left\">Pad\u00f5es do pl\u00e1gio estudantil em Portugal: qu\u00e3o relevantes s\u00e3o as \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o?<br \/>\nPatterns of plagiarism by university students in Portugal: does academic field matters?<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\">Coordenador: Aurora Teixeira<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" width=\"50%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"texto em portugu\ufffds\" src=\"http:\/\/obegef.pt\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/pt.jpg\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" align=\"bottom\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/>N\u00e3o obstante a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o existente sobre o pl\u00e1gio estudantil seja razoavelmente abundante e caracterizada por um not\u00f3rio dinamismo, a evid\u00eancia emp\u00edrica e as implica\u00e7\u00f5es de pol\u00edtica que da\u00ed se retiram s\u00e3o, em general, baseados em amostras isoladas, envolvendo uma (ou muito poucas) \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>\nCom base num projecto de \u00e2mbito nacional sobre integridade acad\u00e9mica, levado a cabo em 2010, foi recolhida uma amostra de mais de 5 mil estudantes inscritos no ensino superior em Portugal, provenientes de uma mir\u00edade de cursos de 22 \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o (Forma\u00e7\u00e3o de professores\/formadores e ci\u00eancias da educa\u00e7\u00e3o; Artes; Humanidades; Ci\u00eancias sociais e do comportamento; Informa\u00e7\u00e3o e jornalismo; Ci\u00eancias empresariais; Direito; Ci\u00eancias da vida; Ci\u00eancias f\u00edsicas; Matem\u00e1tica e estat\u00edstica; Inform\u00e1tica; Engenharia e t\u00e9cnicas afins; Ind\u00fastrias transformadoras; Arquitectura e constru\u00e7\u00e3o; Agricultura, silvicultura e pescas; Ci\u00eancias veterin\u00e1rias; Sa\u00fade; Servi\u00e7os sociais; Servi\u00e7os pessoais; Servi\u00e7os de transporte; Protec\u00e7\u00e3o do ambiente; Servi\u00e7o de seguran\u00e7a).<br \/>\nEstes dados permitem analisar de que forma os padr\u00f5es e percep\u00e7\u00f5es sobre o pl\u00e1gio diferem entre \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o. Mais especificamente, e recorrendo a uma an\u00e1lise estat\u00edstica explorat\u00f3ria, \u00e9 providenciada evid\u00eancia por \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o relativamente a:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" type=\"i\">\n<li>a natureza do pl\u00e1gio estudantil,<\/li>\n<li>como \u00e9 que os estudantes percepcionam o pl\u00e1gio,<\/li>\n<li>dimens\u00e3o do pl\u00e1gio estudantil,<\/li>\n<li>motiva\u00e7\u00f5es para a pr\u00e1tica do pl\u00e1gio.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adicionalmente, discutir-se-\u00e1 implica\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e1ticas derivadas dos resultados obtidos.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" width=\"50%\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Texto em ingl\ufffds\" src=\"http:\/\/obegef.pt\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/en.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" align=\"bottom\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/>Although existing research on student plagiarism is reasonably abundant and characterized by noticeable dynamism, the empirical evidence and the concomitant policy implications are in general based on single (or very few) and isolated academic field samples. In 2010 I performed a nationwide survey on academic integrity and gathered a sample of over 5 thousand university students from a myriad of academic courses spread by 22 academic fields (Agriculture, forestry and fisheries; Architecture and Building; Arts; Communication and journalism; Computing sciences; Economics and Business sciences; Education and training; Engineering; Environment protection; Exact sciences; Health; Humanities; Law; Life sciences; Manufacturing industry sciences; Math and statistics; Personal Services; Security services; Social and Behavioral sciences; Social Services; Transport services; Veterinary medicine) enrolled in Portuguese higher education institutions. This data enables to assess the extent to which patterns and perceptions on plagiarism differ between fields of study. More specifically, and resorting to exploratory statistical analysis, I'll provide evidence, by academic field, on<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" type=\"i\">\n<li>the nature of plagiarism,<\/li>\n<li>how students perceive plagiarism,<\/li>\n<li>how great is student plagiarism,<\/li>\n<li>what motivates students to engage in plagiarism,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, I'll discuss potential practical implications from the findings.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pad\u00f5es do pl\u00e1gio estudantil em Portugal: qu\u00e3o relevantes s\u00e3o as \u00e1reas de estudo e forma\u00e7\u00e3o?
