Como realidade institucional, crescentemente associada \u00e0 iniciativa empresarial, envolvendo importantes recursos financeiros (p\u00fablicos e privados) tamb\u00e9m a\u00ed se praticam todos os tipos de fraude inerentes \u00e0 atual fase hist\u00f3rica por n\u00f3s vivida (fraude ocupacional e organizacional, corrup\u00e7\u00e3o e fraude fiscal, empresas fantasma e branqueamento de capitais, informa\u00e7\u00e3o privilegiada, tr\u00e1fico de influ\u00eancias, etc.). Ora oportunista ou pontual, ora transnacional ou organizado. Fraudes extensivas a outras \u00e1reas da sociedade, assumindo por vezes especificidades inerentes \u00e0s caracter\u00edsticas do setor desportivo.Simultaneamente \u00e9 terreno onde prospera um vasto conjunto de infra\u00e7\u00f5es econ\u00f3mico-financeiras espec\u00edficas, frequentemente designadas por corrup\u00e7\u00e3o (\u201cdesvio das expectativas p\u00fablicas de que o desporto deve ser jogado e administrado honestamente\u201d nas palavras de Adam Masters). Por um lado estruturas decis\u00f3rias e regulat\u00f3rias transnacionais e nacionais paralelas, sistemas de apostas, utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da popularidade do desporto para encobrimento e obten\u00e7\u00e3o de outros fins. Um mercado de milh\u00f5es de milh\u00f5es. Por outro vicia\u00e7\u00e3o de resultados (ligada ou n\u00e3o \u00e0s apostas) e dopagem. Esta mais frequente, aquela envolvendo maiores propor\u00e7\u00f5es financeiras e criminol\u00f3gicas. A import\u00e2ncia relativa e as formas de operacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o das diversas fraudes diferem de desporto para desporto.A diversidade e complexidade das situa\u00e7\u00f5es exigem um trabalho interdisciplinar em torno desta problem\u00e1tica, a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00faltiplas situa\u00e7\u00f5es que interligadas podem dar corpo ao puzzle que \u00e9 hoje a fraude no desporto.<\/td>\n<td align=\"left\" valign=\"top\" width=\"50%\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; border: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/obegef.pt\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/01\/en.jpg\" alt=\"Texto em ingles\" align=\"bottom\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"5\" \/>Sports are an important activity in today's society, on its many dimensions: ludic, symbolic, economic, social and cultural, legal, managerial and political. As an institutional reality, increasingly linked to business initiative, involving important financial assets (both public and private), all kind of fraud inherent to the current historical phase (occupational and organizational fraud, corruption and tax fraud, shell companies and money laundering, insider trading, influence peddling, etc.) are practiced. Either opportunistic or occasional, either transnational or organized. Frauds that are extensible to other areas of the society, sometimes assuming specificities inherent to the sports sector\u2019s characteristics.Simultaneously prospers a vast set of specific economic-financial offenses, commonly referred to as corruption (\u201ccorruption in sport equates to the deviation from public expectations that sport will be played and administered in an honest manner\u201d quoting Adam Masters). On the one hand, parallels decisional and regulatory structures, both national and transnational, betting systems, use of sports popularity in order to obtain other social and economic gains. A market of thousands of millions. On the other hand, match-fixing (both betting related or not) and doping.
